Whisky Tastings Policy

Payment

Tastings brought as gifts will be issued as a ‘voucher’ – the recipient needs to visit the ‘Redeem a Voucher’ page to use it.

When you book with Grain & Glass, you will be issued with an email which will include a payment link. This will also state when monies are owed depending on the date of your booking.

This will be:
For Groups of Three or Fewer

The full amount paid upfront ahead of the booking as a non refundable pre-payment.

We will allow a confirmed booking to alter the date up to two times up to 14 days ahead of their booking date, thereafter the booking is final. Bookings made for November and December are final and cannot be moved.

No shows and any cancellations within 48 hours of the booking will not be refunded.

For Groups of Four or More

50% deposit (based on total agreed numbers) is due on confirmation and is non-refundable. The booking is not confirmed until this has been paid.

The remaining 50% is due a week before the event. If you have any additional guests, the fee for these people will be expected at this time.

If guests cancel, we can amend the final amount as long as it does not go below half the total booking size. ie. if a there is a party of 24, the minimum party size will be 12 people, if there’s 5 people, the minimum will be 3.

No shows will not be refunded.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your tasting event you will be liable for the 50% deposit. This is non-refundable.

If the rest of the monies have been paid the week prior to your tasting event, these cannot be refunded.

If the final 50% has not been paid, then the booker will not be liable for this.

In the unlikely event of the Grain & Glass having to cancel your booking, we will:

If it is not time sensitive, offer you another date and time with the same arrangements.

Offer you a full refund of all monies that have been paid at the time of cancellation.

If we are forced to cancel due to government instruction, we will postpone your booking indefinitely until we can re-open and reschedule your booking as a priority.

Behaviour

We reserve the right to remove a person, persons or cancel the event due to unreasonable or antisocial behaviour, damage to the venue, or our property, or if any of our staff suffer abuse. No refunds will be given.

Booking Terms for Partnership Customers

We will allow a confirmed booking to alter the date up to two times up to 14 days ahead of their booking date.

From that point the date is final and the booker will not be able to change or cancel their booking without losing it.

Stag or Hen Events

We are happy to accommodate these occasions but have certain rules in place:

  • We do not allow fancy dress under any circumstances.
  • We ask you to please arrive on time for your tasting as we have many sessions during the day. If you arrive late, then we may not be able to accommodate you.
  • We ask that you respect other drinkers and behave in accordance with our rules of behaviour.
